To make the public aware, the PTA sends an educational SMS to all mobile subscribers to know the status of their mobile devices. Telecom customers can verify the IMEI (s) status of a mobile device by sending an IMEI number via SMS to 8484, on the website: www.dirbs.pta.gov.pk or by downloading the DIRBS mobile app from the Google Play Store.
4 ways to check the status of Mobile Phone
There are 4 ways that can be received by a subscriber inquiring about the status of its IMEI(s) as explained below:

Compliant Devices are PTA type-approved and imported in Pakistan.
- Non-Compliant devices are such devices where IMEI is either not allotted by GSMA or copied. To work with such clients, PTA will auto-pair all such IMEIs seen on the portable organization with explicit SIMs before the twentieth of October 2018. After this date, those clients will actually want to use these IMEIs with matched SIMs-In request to auto pair all the IMEIs identified with this cell phone, clients encouraged to do any income creating action from their SIM(s), for example, settle on any decision, send an SMS or use the portable web from their SIM(s) before twentieth October 2018.
- Legal Devices are such devices where the IMEI of the cell phone is large (GSMA affirmed), be that as it may, it isn’t PTA agreeable/endorsed. To work with such clients, PTA will auto register all such IMEIs which seen on the portable organization before twentieth October 2018 and their status will be agreeable after this- For auto enlistment, clients encouraged to do any income-producing movement for example settle on any decision, send an SMS or use the portable web before twentieth October 2018.
- Blocked devices show that your IMEI is blocked as this IMEI has been reported stolen earlier.
